Perhaps you have not given much thought to what your dog should be for Halloween, or perhaps you have and you just have not figured it out yet. Either way, there are lots of halloween costumes for dogs out there. With a quick search online, you will get a good idea of what your choices are and you may end up have a hard time deciding because of the large number of selections available.
So how do you decide what to dress your dog up as? You may want to think about their personality. Are they fearless and brave? Ready to take on any enemy? If so, a superhero costume such as Batman or Superman will do or possibly a fireman costume or a cowboy.
Perhaps your dog is more dainty or feminine, in which case a bride or a princess would be appropriate. And maybe your dog thinks he or she is a tough guy or gal, barking at everything he or she sees. If that is the case, a biker or a pirate might be an appropriate halloween costume for your dog.
Another idea is to dress your dog in a costume that will coordinate with yours or with your child’s so you can go out as a team!
And some other options, which will work for just about any dog, are funny costumes such as an over-sized watch on your dog’s back, so that he or she can be a watchdog, or a hot dog costume for your dachshund.
Some of the newer ones for 2009 that are on the market are mailman and jockey rider costumes which consist of a small doll that appears to be riding your dog. These halloween costumes for dogs would work for just about any dog and get a lot of laughs!
